Overview - Grades 4 - 5

A two season Engineering and Robotics journey, designed to take learners from basic to advanced workings of Circuitry and Robotics using Micro:bits and Arduino.

From simple flashing LED's to temperature gauge, wearables and interactive roving robots, learners will explore, design and build a variety of projects. Using the micro-controllers: Micro:bits and Arduino's, learners will build circuits and apply principles of electronics and develop an in-depth understanding of (to name a few):

  • Motors
  • Sensors
  • Actuators
  • Accelerometer
  • Compass

Learners will apply design thinking principles to build gadgets and with the power of coding (options of using blockly Javascript or Python) make their creations come to life!

Schedule and Duration

This program is designed to run for a duration of 20 weeks. Each session will run for 45 minutes and will comprise of:

  • Design Segment and /or Unplugged Segment
  • Project Build Segment

A detailed email will be sent to parents after every session listing what students learnt and built.
