Welcome to the world of Data Science. Unleash the power of analytics with Python. In this  12 week course students will take their basic knowledge of Python to a real world application. The focus of this course is to introduce students to applying basic data science principles using python. This is the first of 5 Data Science courses offered in Data Science series. The course will cover:


  • Fundamentals of Data cleansing and Data prep

  • Reading, querying and analysing dataframe structures

  • Tricks and techniques in organising data for efficient analyses

  • Learn the basic analysis fundamentals: grouping, manipulation, summary tables, etc.

  • Intro to basic statistical techniques to discover insights with data

  • This course will consist of:

    • 4 graded quizes​

    • 4 graded group assignments 

    • Final graded group project applying all of the above knowledge​

  • Students completing all of the required ​course work will earn certification of completion 




Students must have successfully completed Intro to Python with Code-it Hacks or with another institution. We may require you to take a small assessment to determine if you are ready for this class

This program will run on Saturday afternoons in Bloor West Village (Swansea Town Hall)
