Code-it Hacks is proud to partner with University of Toronto's Computer Science department on their research project for development of coding platforms for kids.

University of Toronto's Computer Science Student research project, spear headed by Phd student Majeed Kazemi will be run from January 3rd - January 14th after school

FROM SCRATCH TO PYTHON

The two-week introduction to programming course in partnership with the University of Toronto will start remotely on January 3rd, 2022 and end on Jan 14th (10 sessions).

In this course you will learn the core concepts in computer programming. This is a hands-on course in which you will learn the principles of computing by working on real programming challenges and activities during the class.

Each class will be 90 minutes long (including a 5 minute break). It's really important for us that you attend every single session of this class, otherwise you might fall behind.

 

WHO QUALIFIES?

 

This is a FREE introduction to Programming course with limited spots. You qualify to participate if you:​

​

  • Are 13 years or older

  • Have done programming only in SCRATCH or similar block-based platforms or  are a complete beginner

  • Can commit after school for ten 90 minutes sessions run from January 3rd - January 14th

  • This is a FREE program - there is a $10 registration fee - due upon registration
